CAMS Community of Practice meetings occur on a quarterly basis and are open to all Vermont providers who have participated in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) trainings. During this meeting Dr. Kevin Crowley will discuss strategies for using the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality Model, with a focus on understanding "Drivers" and reviewing optional CAMS forms. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenging CAMS cases and receive consultation from Dr. Crowley.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:

1.)   Describe opportunities and challenges for engaging teens in the CAMS treatment process.

2.)   Identify strategies for working with caregivers when a teen is experiencing suicidal ideation.

3.)   Identify effective strategies for implementing CAMS with challenging cases.

During this training event Dr. Kevin Crowley will present a challenging adolescent case and discuss strategies for using the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality Model with teens and their caregivers. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own challenging CAMS cases and receive consultation from Dr. Crowley.

During this training event Dr. Kevin Crowley will discuss strategies for using the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality Model with the updated CAMS Therapeutic Worksheet and 3rd edition of the CAMS book. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenging CAMS cases and receive consultation from Dr. Crowley.

6/9/2023

During this training event Dr. Kevin Crowley discussed strategies for using the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality Model with older adults. Dr. Crowley will review opportunities and important things to consider when working with older adults. Strategies for engaging patients with means reduction and safety planning will be reviewed. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenging CAMS cases and receive consultation from Dr. Crowley.

During this training event Dr. Mariam Gregorian discussed strategies for using the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model with teens. Dr. Gregorian reviewed opportunities and important things to consider when working with teens, as well as strategies for engaging families with means reduction and safety planning.
