May 01, 2026
Asynchronous
This 90-minute video course provides foundational knowledge and an engaging demonstration of the CAMS Brief Intervention (CAMS-BI).
The training experience combines didactic presentations and clinical demonstrations by Dr. Raymond Tucker, the senior author on the initial evaluation of CAMS-BI, as he introduces an unscripted clinical demonstration of the use of CAMS-BI with a patient hospitalized following a potential suicide attempt.
The demonstration captures the importance of the collaborative process essential to CAMS-BI risk assessment and treatment planning while also highlighting the challenges that clinicians often encounter when working with suicidal patients.
Course Topics:
•Demonstrate the use of CAMS in Rapid Health Care Delivery Systems
•Demonstrate techniques to reduce access to lethal means
•Develop a viable CAMS Stabilization Plan
•Identify both direct and indirect drivers of suicide
•Create a collaborative CAMS Treatment Plan
1.5 CEs available for purchase ($18) from CAMS-care after completion of the training
Location: Remote.
Who should attend? CAMS-BI is designed specifically for individuals working in Emergency Departments, EmPATH Units, Crisis Stabilization Facilities, and Inpatient Units.
