Enhancing Rural Vermont's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Services Through Collaboration and Innovation
The Vermont Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Care Collaborative & Innovation Network, led by VPQHC, is a statewide initiative aimed at enhancing trauma-responsive forensic nursing services for survivors of sexual assault. Five rural Vermont hospitals are actively participating. This collaborative network is focused on building capacity, improving quality, and developing sustainable practices to ensure that survivors of sexual assault receive consistent, compassionate, and expert care throughout Vermont.
Key consortium partners in this collaborative include Vermont Network, the Vermont Association of Hospitals & Health Systems (VAHHS), and Bi-State Primary Care Association.
