Free quarterly webinars for Vermont mental health providers focused on telehealth practices and suicide prevention.
The Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care (VPQHC), in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health, hosts a free quarterly webinar series designed to support mental health providers in delivering effective, suicide-safer care via telehealth.

Each one-hour webinar highlights best practices in suicide care and telehealth delivery, with sessions led by regional and national experts. Topics include clinical ethics, risk assessment and response in virtual settings, application of evidence-based suicide care frameworks, and strategies for connecting clients to local resources. The series also features conversations with Vermont payers and regulators to address policy and implementation questions relevant to providers.

Recent topics have included:
- Ethical considerations in providing telehealth services to clients at risk for suicide
- Use of the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) framework in virtual settings
- Strategies for linking clients to community crisis resources and follow-up care
- Insights from Vermont Medicaid and licensing bodies on telehealth-related policies

Webinar recordings and supporting materials are available on our Resources page to ensure ongoing access and learning. This initiative supports Vermont’s broader effort to strengthen suicide care and mental health care through safe, effective virtual care delivery.
