Expanding Access to Peer Review Across Vermont’s Healthcare Continuum

The VPQHC Peer Review Network supports Vermont hospitals by providing access to structured, confidential external peer reviews when internal resources or specialty expertise are limited. By connecting organizations with qualified reviewers, the network helps examine complex clinical cases, identify system-level opportunities, and strengthen quality and safety.
VPQHC is now expanding the Peer Review Network to include providers across the continuum of care — including mental health agencies, primary care, and long-term care — with a continued focus on supporting small and rural organizations.
This next phase is informed by statewide feedback and a gap analysis, and will promote a non-punitive, transparent, and collaborative learning model to advance high-quality care across Vermont.
