Esther E. Halden, PT
Quality & Patient Safety Specialist
Esther is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She has worked for 25 years as a physical therapist in settings across the healthcare continuum and across the country to bring extensive perspective and experience. She has been working in healthcare payment reform for conveners of value-based care for over 8 years with great success in reducing costs while improving quality metrics, elevating patient outcomes and enhancing the patient experience. She received her Certification as a Professional in Patient Safety in 2021 and has been able to integrate her focus into the work in driving quality in hospital systems across the country, specialty care and at the statewide Vermont ACO. She has led teams, established collaborative environments and helped uncover the why that drives change. These passions have driven her to join the VPQHC team to further facilitate quality improvement, patient safety, and optimizing patient outcomes as we navigate healthcare challenges and transformation.
Vermont is her chosen home state because it embodies so much of what she loves in the outdoors and freedom to be.
