Several Vermont hospitals participate in a Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN). Nationally, there are 16 HIINs funded through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In Vermont, we have hospitals participating through two HIINs: Vizient and the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET). Below is an outline of which Vermont hospitals are participating in a HIIN and which HIIN they are affiliated with. 

VIZIENT (YELLOW): UVMMC, UVMHN-Central Vermont Medical Center

HRET (RED) - organized through VPQHC: Northwestern Medical Center, Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, UVMHN-Porter Medical Center, Rutland Regional Medical Center

HRET (BLUE) - organized through FOUNDATION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES, NEW HAMPSHIRE: DH-Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Health Center, DH-Southwestern Vermont Medical Center

UNAFFILIATED FACILITIES (BLACK): Grace Cottage Hospital, Gifford Medical Center, Springfield Hospital, Copley Hospital, North Country Hospital, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital
