Center for Evaluation The Center for Evaluation promotes VPQ's mission by studying Vermont's healthcare system through health services research. The Center is dedicated to conducting analyses that illustrate the quality of healthcare in Vermont, provides evaluative support to various quality improvement initiatives, and informs health policy. Two of the Center's current activities are described below. Annual Vermont Health Care Quality Report VPQ produces the Vermont Health Care Annual Quality Report incorporating the primary analyses produced by the organization throughout the previous fiscal year. These analyses as well as measures of health care quality and utilization in Vermont and an annual summary of the activities of the organization are posted on the web. The report also includes recommendations for statewide quality improvement initiatives. An executive summary is published in hard copy. Vermonters with Medicare Our research using Vermont Medicare data seeks to inform the state of the healthcare utilization and disease prevalence among this growing population. Until now, Vermont has not had comprehensive data available with which to study the healthcare system and assess quality of care provided to aging Vermonters.
Our findings are presented in brief reports describing Vermont's Medicare population, a profile of their chronic conditions, and their use of health services.
