2008 Winter Conference
Thursday, February 8 –
Lake Morey Resort
The theme for the Winter Conference is Heart Failure.
Dr. Greg MacDonald of Central Vermont Medical Center
will open the Winter Conference with a basic primer on HF, its
etiologies,
how they present, classification, and management. He will open the
day,
set the stage and give a general foundation for the following two
presenters:
Fletcher Allen’s Ann Laramee, APRN, MS and Dr. Peter VanBuren
will present in the late morning and afternoon. VanBuren, a FAHC
heart failure cardiologist, has evaluated all the HF meds. He’ll
talk mostly about drug management and the research behind it. Ann
will present case studies and discuss disease management, patient
education, remote (experimental) monitoring, and compliance.

Dr. MacDonald, MD, FACC - 9:15-10:30am;
Peter VanBuren, MD - 10:45-Noon;
Ann Laramee, APRN, MS - 1:00-3:00pm.
